Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) will host its Career and Education Fair, Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) – on the Mezzanine and in the Community Room located on the 3rd floor (above airline ticket counters) from 10:30 am until 3:30 pm.

 

The JMAA Career and Education Fair is open to the public and will include participation from Jackson metro area businesses and organizations seeking to grow their employee base, as well as elite colleges and universities providing information on course offerings.

 

For JMAA employees, this is an unique opportunity to learn of the many educational courses within their targeted field from local colleges and universities, allowing them to further their education for professional enrichment via the JMAA Education Reimbursement Program.

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) is proud to announce Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 passenger numbers not seen in our city in a decade. Significant capital projects are also under way to continue renewal and improvements at the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN).

 

JMAA and its world-class airline partners (American, Delta, Southwest, and United) handled over 1.2 million passengers during the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2022. These numbers are the highest since the year 2012 and outpace the post-Covid growth at most U.S. airports. JAN passenger traffic is up 42% over Calendar Year (CY)

ABOUT JMAA

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) operates two airports: Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field Airport (HKS). JAN is the busiest airport in Mississippi, situated in the Central part of the state and serving the Capital region of Jackson with over 3,000 acres of property. JAN has service to several of the world’s busiest global hubs and is home to the Mississippi Air National Guard 172nd Airlift Wing. HKS is a general aviation airport and is home to the Mississippi Army National Guard 185th Aviation Brigade.
