The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA), in concert with Atlantic Aviation, is excited to partner with the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) for the AirPower History Tour, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, (9:00 am until 5:00 pm), an aircraft tour at the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN).
The CAF AirPower History Tour will feature a T-6 Texan, a PT-13 Stearman, a T-34 Mentor and a RC-45J Expeditor. Visitors will be able to view aircraft up close, purchase rides, and tour the B-24 cockpit (whenever not in flight).
“We are thrilled to partner with CAF for the opportunity to share this festive, unique aviation experience with our community,” stated John Means, Acting CEO. “We’re looking forward to the public coming out to JAN to explore these rare, historic aircraft.”
Aircraft are expected to arrive at noon on Monday, February 13th and will be staged at the SoJAN (south cargo) ramp at JAN.
This event is open to the public on Tuesday, with tickets available for access to aircraft tour and rides:
• Adults, $20
• Youth (ages 11 – 17), $10
• Free for Children, Ages 10 and Under
Parking for participants will be available at SoJAN (old south cargo building across from the Cell Phone Lot).
