The number of travelers is expected to rise this week, with the highest peak travel days expected to be this Thursday and Friday, December 21st and 22nd. The busy travel period will run through Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
During most of the end-of-year holiday period, the peak hours for departing passengers from JAN are between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., then from noon until 6 p.m. daily. As a result of substantial air service increases at JAN these past few years, flight choices and passenger volumes are at levels not seen in a decade, with passenger numbers above the pre-pandemic era that has continued through 2023.
To ensure a smooth travel experience during this busy period, the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority strongly encourages all passengers to arrive at least two (2) hours before their flight departures. This allows ample time for parking security procedures and permits travelers to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a beverage, or pick up any last-minute travel essentials on both the East and West concourses.

- Surface lot: $14 per day (short 2-3 min. walk to the terminal)

This is located by turning left on Cross Street before International Drive splits at the surface lot.
