The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) advises there have been minimal effects during Tropical Storm Ida. JMAA Public Safety and Operations teams continue to monitor conditions, ensuring safety for all passengers, customers, tenants, and airport employees.
Although the area remains under a tropical storm warning, with possible gusts up to 40 to 50 miles per hour, the Authority reports very little to no damage to either Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) or the general aviation airport, Hawkins Field (HKS).
