Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) employees, along with our airline, federal, rental car, and restaurant partners, are ready to welcome travelers for the Independence Holiday period at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN), beginning Wednesday, July 3rd through Monday, July 8th.
Passengers flying from JAN are encouraged to check their flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport. It is important to stay informed about weather and air traffic conditions, which can change frequently. We advise passengers to allow sufficient time for parking, check-in, and security procedures, arriving two (2) hours before flight departure.
At the busiest airport in the state, Mississippians enjoy air service from JAN to the largest global hubs, allowing for hundreds of one-stop, worldwide connections to six (6) continents. Our premier air service providers—American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines— are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards and customer experience throughout this peak travel period.
Know Before You Go! Convenient airport parking is available in the terminal Garage, the close-in Surface lot, and the Long-Term lot (located to the right of International Drive before arriving at the terminal area). Shuttle service for Long-Term lot customers is every 15 minutes, beginning at 3:30 a.m. Customers can call directly to 601.360.8690 for an updated parking lot status.
JAN Parking Rates are as follows:
- Economy Lot at $13 per day (remote lot, with frequent, nonstop shuttle buses)
- Surface Lot at $17 per day (quick walk into the JAN terminal)
- Garage at $19 per day (at the JAN terminal)
- Cellphone lot is free; 1st 10 minutes in lots are free; Hourly Parking is $5 per hour

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) operates two airports: Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field Airport (HKS). JAN is the busiest airport in Mississippi, situated in the Central part of the state and serving the Capital region of Jackson with over 3,000 acres of property.
