Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Partners with JPS for Aviation Career Exploration Day
The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) has partnered with Jackson Public School District (JPS) for JPS Aviation Career Exploration Day. Event will be held at the Jackson State University (JSU) e-Center and at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN).
The Aviation Career Exploration Day is a virtual event that allows students to meet and talk with aviation professionals. Industry partners will provide access to industry worksites, demonstrate aviation maintenance equipment, and answer questions during this virtual event. Scholars will have the opportunity to engage in a way that has been unavailable. JPS’s goal is for each student to learn about and take advantage of current pathways to a career as a valuable member of the aviation community.
JMAA is participating to enhance The Academy of Scientific Innovation at Provine High School.
