The project team is committed to engaging the public throughout the course of the 2019 Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Disparity Study. BBC will host two public meetings during the disparity study to help the public understand the purpose of the study and to offer opportunities for the public to submit testimony and comments about their experiences working in the local marketplace and with JMAA.
Community meetings. In partnership with BBC and Exstare, JMAA hosted two community meetings in the Jackson area:
Thursday, October 17, 2019
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
JAN Airport
100 International Drive
Jackson, MS 39208
Community Room
Thursday, October 17, 2019
5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Hawkins Field Airport
558 W Ramp Street
Jackson, MS 39209
Community Room
During each meeting, the project team delivered a presentation describing the disparity study including its purpose, methodology, and the study schedule. Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and submit verbal or written testimony about their experiences working in the local marketplace and with JMAA. Comments that the study team received will be treated confidentially and will be integrated as part of the project team’s analyses of local marketplace conditions. Thank you to all who attended a community meeting!
The project team is continuing to collect written testimony about business’ experiences working, or attempting to work, in the local marketplace. If you would like to submit information about your experiences, please email the project team directly at JMAAdisparitystudy@bbcresearch.com. Please share your experiences related to:
- Starting or expanding your business;
- Working, or attempting to work with, JMAA;
- Working as a prime or subcontractor;
- Payment issues;
- General marketplace conditions; or
- Other topics you would like considered as part of the disparity study.
Please submit your written testimony to the project team by July 31, 2020.
