JACKSON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CHAIR RELEASES STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF COMMISSIONER JOHNSON
JACKSON, MS – (JANUARY 12, 2018) – The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Board of Commissioners Chair, Pastor James L. Henley, Jr. made the following statement regarding the passing of JMAA Commissioner Rosie L.T.P. Johnson, Ph.D.
“The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Board of Commissioners and staff are saddened to learn of the passing of our esteemed Commissioner, Dr. Rosie L.T. P. Johnson. We extend our sincere condolences to her family, colleagues, friends, and the airport community.
Her enthusiasm for the City of Jackson and inexhaustible commitment to Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International and Hawkins Field Airports is irreplaceable and will be missed greatly.
Dr. Rosie L.T.P. Johnson served as a Commissioner for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority following her 2014 appointment by former City of Jackson Mayor, Tony Yarber. During her board tenure, Dr. Johnson served as Board Chair in 2015 and was elected Board Vice-Chair in 2016.
Her accomplishments at JMAA were many and Dr. Johnson’s passion and dedication to the Authority and her community will be cherished for years to come.”
