The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) and Springboard Opportunities collaborated on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 3:00 pm to host the “Easter Cotton Candy,” a community outreach event at Commonwealth Village Apartments in Jackson, MS near Hawkins Field Airport.
Nearly 100 buckets of cotton candy and five-pack face masks were distributed to resident children and youth in celebration of the Easter holiday.
“This is that time of the year when we should think of more than ourselves,” said JMAA Board Commissioner LTC(R) Lucius Wright. “It should come from the heart and our heart at this time is with these kids.”
Thanks to the Springboard Opportunities organization for continuing to support JMAA’s community outreach efforts.
