Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Earns Third Consecutive Clean Audit Opinion, Demonstrating Continued Financial Strength and Operational Excellence

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) announces it has received an unmodified “clean” audit opinion for the third consecutive year following completion of its Fiscal Year 2025 audit by independent accounting firm Forvis Mazars, a top 10 public accounting firm. The audit was completed ahead of the statutory deadline, reinforcing JMAA’s continued commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and operational excellence.

JMAA reported strong financial performance for FY2025, with operating revenues increasing 3% to $25.3 million. Aviation revenues increased 4.9%, while non-aviation revenues grew 3.1%. JMAA achieved a positive net change in financial position of $26.5 million through strategic financial management and capital grant contributions.

Additionally, JMAA invested approximately $30.2 million in capital improvements to enhance infrastructure at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and Hawkins Field Airport (HKS). These investments continue to support a world-class traveler experience, strengthen regional connectivity, create economic opportunity, and position the airport system for long-term sustainability and growth.

“JMAA remains committed to responsible stewardship, operational excellence, infrastructure investment, and positioning the airports of the Capital Region as strategic economic assets for the City of Jackson and the State of Mississippi,” said Rosa Beckett, Chief Executive Officer.

“JMAA continues to uphold the highest standards of financial reporting and accountability, ensuring long-term stability and progress,” stated Jana Greene, Interim Chief Financial Officer.

The FY2025 audit reflects the continued strength, discipline, and effectiveness of JMAA’s leadership team as the Authority advances strategic growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced airport services for travelers, businesses, and the surrounding community.
