The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) announced the 2022 Aviation Industry Day event scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 11:00 AM at the Clyde Muse Center (Hinds Community College) in Pearl, MS. This event is in partnership with the Golden Triangle Regional Airport (GTR) and Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) for it’s fifth (5th) Aviation Industry Day.
Mississippi’s airports are a critical part of the nation’s multi-billion-dollar aviation industry, generating over $2.5 billion annually in economic impact. The State’s airports provide vital connectivity enabling businesses to function more efficiently. Aviation Industry Day links the State’s airports with the business community, providing information on how to develop and grow partnerships. Whether you’re an architect, engineer, real estate or insurance professional, a service provider, vendor, or construction professional – this event is for you. The day is free for participants and offers vendor exposure opportunities.
John Means, A.A.E., Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer states, “JMAA welcomes this partnership to showcase the economic impact of our state airports,” said Means. “In past Aviation Industry Day events, this professional development opportunity has led to incredible partnerships with local businesses and Mississippi airports. Participants will be heavily engaged in learning about major projects, vendors, and will gain critical insights with educational breakout sessions.”
The day’s itinerary includes Commissioner Willie Simmons, Transportation Commissioner for the Mississippi Department of Transportation as the general session guest speaker. Breakout sessions will include Women in Aviation, Engineer and Consultants Roundtable, and Drone Display, along with several more. These sessions will provide timely information on how best to do business with airports. Attendees will also have the chance to hear directly from Airport leaders within the State on their capital improvement plans for the next 12-18 months.
Aviation Industry Day Registration is available HERE. Registration will also be available onsite. For more information on this event, please contact Mary Geter, DBE Contract Compliance Specialist at MGeter@jmaa.com.
