JMAA Continues Christmas Tree Tradition with Historic Farish Street District

(Jackson, MISS) —  The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority gleefully announces its participation in this year’s 2015 Farish Street Christmas Tree program on Friday, December 18, 2015.  The program will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. and will be held at the Farish and Hamilton Streets Park in the historic Farish Street district in downtown Jackson.  A reception will immediately follow the program and formal lighting of the Christmas Trees.

With an on-going effort to cultivate relationships with our stakeholders and communities, the opportunity is being embraced as a collaborative effort to foster greater community engagement through a spirit of unity during this season.  A storied participant in the Farish Street Christmas Tree program, the JMAA family has been a storied participant through the coordinated effort of Jack Thomas, director of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.   The fit is a good one for the JMAA family with inclusive goals of connecting with our communities and service organizations.

“The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority is extremely pleased to be a part of this annual event.  Our participation has become a tradition for more than 5 years,” said Thomas.  “It is with great anticipation that we look forward to participating in this event as a community partner”.

The JMAA Christmas Tree is one of more than a dozen trees that have been decorated by their organizations and will be on display through January 3, 2016.  The 2015 Farish Street Christmas Tree program is a community event, free and open to the public.  For additional information contact Nettie Stowers at 202.256.6021.
