Jackson Municipal Airport Authority’s Police Promotions to Strengthen Front-Line Defense
(Jackson, MISS) –The Police Department for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority recently announced the promotion of 3 of its officers to the rank of Sergeant. The three bring with them a wealth of knowledge and mastery in varied law enforcement capacities including crime scene investigations, K9 units, SWAT teams, and other special law enforcement operations. The JMAA welcomes Corliss Harris, Anderson Jones, Jr. and Le-Sheena Lewis as the triad of new Sergeants.
Corliss Harris joined the JMAA enterprise in February, 2016 and is steeped in protocols and defense training. Harris has served with the United States Marine Corps and the Jackson Police Department as a Self Defense Instructor and Team Leader for the SWAT team. Anderson Jones, Jr. has served as Assistant Chief with the Pelahatchie Police Department and as a SWAT Operative, K9 handler and crime scene investigator. He was awarded the Mississippi War Medal and Meritorious Service Award for his participation in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Le-Sheena Lewis adds to the trio of new sergeants. Lewis graduated from the MS Law Enforcement Training Academy and has worked as a Police Constable with the MS State Hospital. Lewis joined JMAA in 2011 and matriculated through the ranks of Police Corporal in 2013.
Terry Miller, Chief of Police for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, embraces the new team of Sergeants as a critical addition to the Police Department at JMAA.

The Police Department for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) continues its vigilance as the frontline law enforcement entity for the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport and is responsible for the security of the airport’s exterior grounds, the airport’s parking terminals, parking lots, and all tenant facilities.
