(Jackson, MISS) — The Jackson Medgar Wiley Evers Airport ranks in the top 3 of 19 small hub airports from and is included among the hallmark of awards excellence for 97 airports nationwide.  Presented by the American Association of Airport Executives, the ANTN Digicast Excellence in Airport Training award was announced earlier this month to Jackson Municipal Airport Authortiy for exemplary training completed by JMAA employees in 2015.

Branded as the premier programming for web-based airport training, the Digicast Excellence in Airport Training award signals the federally-mandated completed training for airport employees and personnel in the areas of Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), customer service, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, operations and security.  Included in the awards recognition criteria are training programs for each airport complementary to the airport’s number of employees and its hub size.

Renee Antoine, Director of Human Resources and Administration for JMAA, embraces the award news as a testament to the continued training invested in JMAA employees.

“The Digicast Excellence in Airport Training award signifies our commitment to continued professional development in cultivating a world class workforce”, said Antoine.  “Our customers will benefit from this training as an added value to our JMAA enterprise’.
